Welcome to Scentfied. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (scentfied.co.ke) and the purchase of products from our online store. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Scentfied is a perfume retail business located in Nairobi CBD, Kenya. We specialise in authentic designer fragrances and niche perfumes with delivery across Kenya.
2. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Scentfied", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Scentfied, its employees, and delivery partners.
- "You" or "customer" refers to any person who visits, browses, or purchases from scentfied.co.ke.
- "Products" means all perfumes, home fragrances, and accessories listed on our website.
- "Order" means any purchase request you submit through our website or other channels.
- "Website" means scentfied.co.ke and all associated pages.
3. Product Authenticity
We guarantee the authenticity of all products sold on Scentfied. Every fragrance is imported directly in its original packaging from the manufacturer or authorised distributors and resellers.
We do not sell counterfeit, grey-market, refilled, decanted, or imitation fragrances. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of a product you received, contact us immediately at info@scentfied.co.ke or call +254 708 161 146.
We do not offer perfume refills. All products are sold as imported/bought, in their original factory-sealed packaging.
4. Placing an Order
4.1 How to Order
To purchase from Scentfied:
- Browse our catalogue and add products to your cart.
- Proceed to checkout and enter your personal and delivery details.
- Review your order summary and click 'Place Order' to confirm.
- You will receive an order confirmation email. We will call you shortly to confirm dispatch.
4.2 Order Confirmation
An order is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation call from us. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraud, and will notify you promptly in such cases.
4.3 Pre-Orders
Products that are out of stock may be pre-ordered. Pre-ordered items are typically delivered within 3 to 10 business days. We will confirm the estimated delivery timeline before accepting payment for pre-orders. For pre-order clients must pay 30%-50% of the total cost.
4.4 Gift Orders
For gift deliveries where the recipient is not the person placing the order, full payment must be made on or before dispatch. Please provide complete recipient details, including full name, phone number, delivery address, and any special instructions.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Pricing
All prices displayed on scentfied.co.ke are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without prior notice; however, the price at the time of your confirmed order will apply to your purchase.
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- M-Pesa
- Cash on Delivery (Nairobi only — conditions apply)
- Visa
- Mastercard
5.3 Pay on Delivery
- Pay on Delivery (PoD) is available for orders within Nairobi and environs. The following conditions apply:
- PoD is not available for gift orders where the recipient is not the payer. In such cases, payment must be made before dispatch.
- PoD is not available for orders exceeding KES 50,000 - advance payment is required.
- For orders outside Nairobi, payment must be made before or upon dispatch via M-Pesa or card.
5.4 Payment Security
All online card transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways. We do not store your card details on our servers.
6. Delivery
6.1 Delivery Areas
We deliver across Kenya. Our delivery service covers:
- Nairobi and environs: Doorstep delivery within 30 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. 90% of Nairobi orders are delivered within 1 hour at no extra charge.
- Other parts of Kenya: Delivery within 12 to 24 hours via a courier service selected by the customer.
6.2 Delivery Costs
Delivery within Nairobi is free of charge. For deliveries outside Nairobi, courier costs will be communicated at checkout or during order confirmation.
6.3 Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed. Actual delivery may vary due to traffic, weather, or the courier service delays. We will notify you of any significant delays.
6.4 Delivery Address
It is your responsibility to provide a correct and complete delivery address. Scentfied is not liable for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from inaccurate address information provided by the customer.
6.5 Risk of Loss
Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon successful delivery of the order to the address provided.
7. Returns and Exchanges
Due to the nature of fragrance products - hygiene, safety, and authenticity, our return policy is limited to the following circumstances:
7.1 Wrong or Defective Product
If we deliver the wrong product or a defective/damaged product, we will exchange it immediately at no cost to you. The correct item will be delivered within the hour (Nairobi) or as soon as possible (other regions).
Notification of a wrong or defective delivery must be made on the same day of receipt. Claims raised after the delivery date will not be accepted.
7.2 Non-Returnable Products
The following products cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:
- Opened or used perfume products.
- Products not reported as wrong or defective on the day of delivery.
Products that have been tampered with or whose original packaging has been damaged by the customer.
Products purchased as gifts once delivered to the recipient, but the recipient doesn't like them.
7.3 How to Report an Issue

8. Intellectual Property
All content on scentfied.co.ke - including but not limited to the Scentfied name, logo, website design, product descriptions, Scentfied original photography, blog articles, and fragrance guides- is the intellectual property of Scentfied and is protected under Kenyan and international copyright law.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Scentfied.
Product names, brand names, and trademarks referenced on our website belong to their respective owners. Scentfied is an authorised retailer and not affiliated with or endorsed by those brands unless expressly stated.
9. User Accounts
You may create an account on scentfied.co.ke to manage orders, track deliveries, and access exclusive offers. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential.
- All activity is conducted through your account.
- Scentfied is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account due to failure to keep your login details secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent activity, misuse, or violation of these Terms.
10. Acceptable Use
By using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Kenyan law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent orders or information.
- Resell, rebottle, or redistribute products purchased from Scentfied without our express written consent.
- Post or submit content that is offensive, defamatory, or violates any third party's rights.
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
While we make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and pricing on our website are accurate, Scentfied does not guarantee that product information is error-free or complete. Product packaging, fragrance concentration levels, or formulations may occasionally vary from what is depicted.
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Scentfied shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our products or website.
Allergic reactions or skin sensitivities from the use of our products. Customers with known allergies are advised to notify us before purchasing and inspect the ingredient information.
Delays in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, civil disruptions, or courier service failures.
11.1 Fragrance Safety
All our fragrances are for external use only. Keep away from the eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. Some fragrance components may not be suitable for pregnant or nursing individuals — consult a healthcare professional if in doubt.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. How we collect, use, and protect your personal information is detailed in our Privacy Policy, available at scentfied.co.ke/privacy-policy.
By placing an order, you consent to us using your contact details to confirm and fulfil your order and to communicate relevant updates about your purchase.
13. Amendments to These Terms
Scentfied reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Changes take effect immediately upon publication.
Continued use of our website or services after any amendments constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
